Who: Kate Bishop and Ben Hargreeves
What: Awkward talking between awkward people over coffee on the beach because everything is awkward.
Where: The beach~
When: Sunday Early Evening
Warnings: TBD (Depends on where the talking goes!)
Super sweet Frap drink. Kate could handle that. She made it herself with as little coffee as possible. Lots of chocolate and whipped cream. Extra ice to make it frosty and like a milkshake. Kate, herself, had her coffee. The iconic Venti with lots of sugar and caffeine that, if Kate was being honest, she didn't need.
It wasn't that Kate was hesitating, but she did pace a bit during her walk from Starkbucks. She'd stop, pace, and continue walking. Kate was really bad at talking about important things. Feeling things. Personal things. She liked talking about everything else except that. She liked making heroic conspiracy boards. She liked saving the world.
Kate paced again, practicing some speeches and answers, before continuing.
She had her sunglasses on to protect her now overly-perfect eyesight from the bright sun. It was great being able to see for miles and miles and at such detail that it should have made someone uncomfortable, but it was bright as hell.
Dropping her shoulder bag onto the sand, Kate let out a tired groan as she followed suit. It took everything Kate had not to guzzle down the lukewarm coffee, but it was a comfort. It was also a great way to fill awkward silence. She'd have to save just enough.
