Who: May and Peter Parker What: Bonding time! When: Saturday evening Where: May's room in their bungalow Warnings: Feels!
Peter was, at heart, still a scientist. Avenging was great and all, and his skills were slightly more limited in this new place, but science was still his first real love and he was good at it.
So it didn't take him very long to figure out that in the moment, they were essentially walking mood rings. Which meant that May's lingering gray color probably wasn't the most positive thing. And Peter knew why.
Their little family had always had good holidays. Sure, it was harder after Ben had died, but Peter and May tried their best to make due. But he knew it was hard on his aunt. Ben had been really young, after all, and no woman as young as his aunt expected to become a widow. And he knew sometimes she got lonely. It wasn't anything against him and Peter was smart enough to know that. She just kinda felt sad sometimes and that was okay.
He knocked on her bedroom door with his foot as his hands were full. He'd made a tray with two mugs of cocoa (extra marshmallows, of course) and the Christmas cookies he'd been working on. A few of them were a little brown on the bottom but overall, he was pretty proud. "May? You busy?"
