To be perfectly honest, Cam's secret behind her sudden burst of energy was not actually just living on the hype of the night -- and had involved an energy drink. Or two. But that was all! All the same, it was nice to have pulled off the Mystery Dinner Theatre and she was genuinely proud of the efforts of the cast and crew. She was filled with a pleasant, satisfied buzz. It was confirmed. This was exactly the field of work she wanted to be involved in, although, she would be more than happy to hang up the Stage Manager hat up for a while. Despite knowing that she'd chosen to do this, she couldn't help but feel as though she was missing out on something during all those rehearsals -- being on the other side. Managing and directing was simply not the same as being in the performance, no matter how key it was to the success of the production. She was glad she'd taken out the year to do it, though, so that now she didn't have to wonder if the green was greener on the other side, so to speak. But perhaps her experience had been particularly good because she'd shared it with someone who was level-headed. Of course, she wasn't pleased at first when she found she had to share the role, but to tell the truth? She had no idea how she'd have managed it all on her own without his help. As the after party had dwindled down, exhaustion getting the better of people, Cam had lingered on, setting cleaning charms on the room. After all, it was still her job to ensure the room was kept in order for future use. |
