Projects had been keeping her awesomely busy, something Laura loved. Now there was a new task handed down that was taking priority. The thing a lot of movies and TV got wrong about IT people is that like 80% of the job is waiting. Waiting for hacks or searches to finish, diagnostics, coding checks, all of that took time. Even on the fastest computer they took time. So, multiple projects were a wonderful thing because there was a higher chance that any one of the projects required a hands on moment for her to work. Granted this wasn't always the case, as it was that afternoon. She had five processes running at once, each doing something different for a different project and she decided to get some food while she waited.
Grabbing her tablet she headed to the Cafeteria and snagged a chicken salad and some water. Holding the food in one hand she read through the article she'd found on secure band radios hoping to find some eureka moment. Unfortunately, this kind of put Laura in her head again and not entirely aware of her surroundings which caused her to collide with a seat at a table, fortunately the seat was empty, on the flip side someone was sitting at the table. She made a slightly pained noise, wincing slightly as her eyes landed upon Hunter, someone she'd heard of in relation to people discussing trainings but she'd never met, nor seen. "Crap, sorry." She said, "I've got to learn to look where I'm going." Laura's accent was clear, even with the time she'd lived in the states the English country girl never faded. For those who actually knew the differences in the English accent could pick up her country upbringing, a bit of Oxford posh and London proper in her, but most Americans just heard 'British'.
