Cash didn't mind the fact that she was talking to her dog instead of him. It wasn't an insult, and in fact he had been doing the same thing when she came up initially. Human interaction was all well and good, but it was impossible to ignore a dog. Especially one as cute as Charmander. "He told me that he just does this so you'll give him more attention," Cash informed her with a grin, since it was clear Hazel gave the dog plenty of love.
"Nice to meet you too," he returned easily, still scratching Charmander's head. Sure, it was laying on Hazel's lap, but it wasn't like he was petting her. Cash looked over at her as she complimented his ability, and there was obvious pride in his eyes if not a little embarrassment. "I know what you mean. I feel like every time I turn around there's a new and exciting ability I didn't even think was possible." As if to prove his point, he looked down, noticing the grass around them for the first time. Cash smiled playfully. "Like maybe grass fertilizing?" He winked a little, nodding towards the ground to indicate he'd seen but found it fascinating.
"It's difficult, but in a fun way? If that makes sense?" He laughed a little at his weirdness, hoping Hazel didn't think he was super awkward. "What do you mean you didn't have the ability? Everyone can learn!" He shook his head, as if the thought that anyone couldn't was the craziest thing he'd ever heard. "Do you work with tech too then? And plants?"
