Hazel was relieved to see he was taking the entire situation in stride, knowing that could have turned out somewhat disastrous. After all, what if he was terrified of dogs? Or if his powers sparked at the sign of some sort of surprise? But she supposed there was no sense in worrying now. Everything was fine!
Watching with a smile on her face as Charmander made a fool of himself, tongue hanging out as he rolled over for belly rubs, Hazel took it upon herself to plop down on the ground and take a breath. It had been a long day already, and maybe the small break was a blessing in disguise.
"Well, I'm glad that you are. Might have been a bit bad otherwise," she laughed, pulling her knees to her chest as she looked over at her dog.
"What were the lights? When you were playing? If you don't mind my asking?" And then after a beat, "I'm sorry, that was rude. I'm not sure we've really met yet? Uhm.. I'm Hazel." Holding out a hand, she gave the man a sheepish grin.
