Domino had gotten ready for the night, pretty much having forgot about teasing the new guy to visit at night. He sat on his bed with his guitar fooling around with a Katy Perry song. His room was pretty sparse, until you looked in his closet. Domino had a number of clothes that almost appeared to overflow the space they were in while still looking organized. He had a few pictures up on the wall of family as well as friends from New York and High School. An expensive looking keyboard against the wall with a stool pushed underneath it and a laptop sat on the small desk with a few notebooks full of random song ideas.
As he wrapped up the last chorus of the song he heard a noise at his door, not a knock but his sensitive ears picked up the sound of someone approaching. Sniffing the air slightly he didn’t recognize the person, but it was definitely a person. He placed his guitar down and went to the door, opening it before the person the other other side could knock. Surprised to see a cute redhead before him, a hot redhead. He didn’t recognize the man, but could make an educated guess about who it was. Of course knowing who it was or not would not change the way he answered the door. “My, my, to what do I owe a visit so late at night from such a hot little number like you? It’s not my birthday already is it?” He asked with a playful smile.
It had to be a record. Within the first seventy-two hours of being at Sanctuary Landon had already accomplished so much. As he finished getting situated in his room, Landon scoured over his messages and grinned. It had been a while since he’d had so much fun and he was relishing over the fact. Recalling the conversation with Domino had Landon forgetting that he had a suitcase that still had yet to be put away as he walked out the door. He’d have to get to it later. He wanted one last night of freedom before the chain of reality wrapped its vice-like hold around him.
Stopping in the common room that he shared with two others, Landon grabbed a bottle of water to drink as he wandered the halls before he found the room and its inhabitant standing under the doorway.
“Birthday or not, here I am.” Landon relaxed against the wall, a hand still holding onto the water, eyeing the guy in front of him, clad in those plaid pajamas. If that was any kind of lure, it wasn’t a very well thought out one. “Seems to me like the night is still young.”
“Come on in.” Domino said, stepping back from the door and letting Landon step in before closing it behind him. “And the night is just starting.” Dom himself was a night person, whether because of all the nights of clubbing or the feline nature about him it was unclear. He moved over to his bed and moved his guitar to it’s stand near the keyboard. “I’m assuming you’re this mysterious new trouble maker everyone is talking about… Landon?” He asked with a smile just large enough to show his accentuated canines, which he was slowly breaking the habit of hiding from everyone- at least while he was at Sanctuary.
Nodding his head to Domino, Landon walked in, a strut in his step and let his eyes take in the surroundings. So far he was unimpressed yet. When he caught sight of the guitar and keyboard, a brow rose. “Did I catch you in the middle of a session?” It would figure that the guy was a musician. “A virtuoso. Impressive.” Then he cocked his head to the side and nodded his head, a lock of hair falling into his eyes. “The one and only.” He didn’t bother combing the hair back into place, but rather let it stay where it was. Waiting. He pressed his lips together and shoved his hands in his pockets. “I’m taking it, you’re one too?”
Laughing slightly Domino shrugged. “I don’t know about ‘trouble’, but I do like to have fun, which can sometimes lead to trouble.” He walked past Landon, brushing his hand casually across the other man’s arm. Domino’s skin had an unusual feel to it, it was like fur of a really soft short-haired cat.Too soft to be lotion but not quite long enough to feel like actual fur. But it was a touch unlike anyone else possessed. “As far as interrupting me, nah. I was moments away from finishing when I heard you outside, and I’ve sung Katy many times.” He said, knowing that he was dropping all sorts of things that could be taken the wrong way.
“I will say though, I’m a little surprised you came by. Not that I’m complaining,” Dom moved to his bed and sat near the head, pulling a leg up under him so he could still face Landon comfortably. “At least I get a look before work tomorrow. Will help me keep me from being distracted.” Dom had to admit the guy had looks, and the way his hair rebelled a little… It was quite nice. His own hair had been cut recently so while he still had his dark curls they were much shorter than they’d been in the past. “But I do believe I promised you some answers to some rumors, yes?”
The slight brush of contact was unusual but it still sent a pleasant warmth down Landon’s arm. It went down the length of his arm to his tapered fingers that clutched the inside of his jean pockets. The only tell was the slightly raised goosebumps. “It can be one and the same at times.” Landon let out a soft chuckle and took a slow step towards Domino and then hesitated, his fingers uncurling as he took another step closer to the center of the room. “Yet, you didn’t finish?” His lips curved up into a smirk. “That doesn’t sound too fulfilling.”
Landon’s eyes drifted over the dark curls before making eye contact with him. “What, you didn’t think I show?” This time one corner of his thin lips stayed perked while his brows rose questioningly and then stalked toward the bed and it’s occupant, his movements slow and measured. “That’s one of my specialities.” His knees came to rest at the foot of the bed, Landon’s red hair continued to fall over his right eye, his hand came to rest beside his knees and looked to Dom. “You do.”
A playful smile pulled upon Domino’s face, the white accentuated canines obvious as he wasn’t trying to hide them. He enjoyed the double entendres and the way Landon played the game. It was nice to have someone else who didn’t just respond but also played back. “I see. Some people say things but don’t follow through.” His brow arched slightly. “You are not one of those people I see.”
“So, I guess I should start by sharing what I can do, it makes the rumors so much clearer.” He said, reaching out and laying his hand on Landon’s, allowing the other man a full feel of his soft skin. “I’m a shapeshifter- Animorph specifically, feline to be more specific.” He shared. “And somewhere along the way some physical aspects sort of… stuck.” His tongue ran over one of his pointed canines.
“Sometimes. It just depends on the mood I’m in. And if what’s offered is even worth my time.” Landon shifted all of his weight onto the bed and leaned in towards him.
The instant skin contact was made, Landon kept his eyes on the guy in front of him. He made no sign of wanting to withdraw his hand and let the moment linger. The words he spoke registered into his head as he watched Dom’s mouth. The elongated canines didn’t deter him, it actually made Landon a bit more curious about the guy in front of him. “Not all aspects, I’m sure.” His eyes slowly lifted to Dom’s and a seductive grin crossed his face. “And what makes you change fully?” It was a question that came to the forefront of his mind. Curiosity made Landon want to know. Curiosity was what made him come here. To this room and to this man.
The distance diminished slowly as Landon inched closer to Dom. He could still feel the pressure of his hand over top his own. Rolling his shoulders, Landon angled himself over Domino, they’re eyes connecting for a moment before ….
Their lips met, a soft pressure as Domino placed his other hand on the man’s shoulder and pulled him a little closer. Dom shifted positions slightly as their bodies got closer and pushed the other man to the bed, giving him a momentary advantage. The feline’s lips felt just as strangely soft as his skin, that invisible coat of soft, short fur added a unique sensation to the kiss- at least from Landon’s side. Dom deepened the kiss for a moment before pulling back, the smile on his lips showed his excitement over finding someone who wasn’t shy and could be forward. No asking permission or walking on eggshells when it came to physical contact. “Before you make any assumptions. Any rumors of certain parts of me being cat-like are completely false. However,” He removed his tank top and lifted Landon’s hand to his abs to feel that his skin was the same as his hands and lips. “Everywhere.”
“Interesting.” Landon let his hands roam over Domino’s abdomen before letting his fingers come up to wrap around the man’s neck, bringing Dom down to him for a harsh kiss. Landon let himself get carried away in the moment. Within a matter of minutes, their positions were once again switched with Landon atop Dom. Kisses were deepened, hands had sought out the dark curls atop the others head one moment and then the next Landon was sitting up, glancing over to the man with a grin on his face. He laughed moreso to himself, realizing his curiosity was sated for now.
“I hope that won’t make it too distracting for you tomorrow.” Sliding off the bed, Landon headed to the door and glanced back briefly to Domino.
Domino slid off his bed, meeting Landon at the door. “It’ll be nothing but entertaining. And hey, when you’re working behind a desk a little distraction is always nice.” He stood close as he opened the door for the other man, a hand taking advantage and running down across his ass before giving him room to step out. “Until tomorrow.” Dom watched as the other man walked away before closing the door. “Oh, this is gonna be fun.”
