Had she tried to imagine something like this before? Of course she had. You couldn’t be in love with someone like she was in love with Grey and not indulge in a daydream or fantasy or two. But the workings of her imagination just didn’t measure up to the real thing. In fact, they hadn’t even come close to the matching the perfection she was experiencing right then. She was more than content just being there in his lap and kissing him like she’d wanted to for so long. The feeling of his hands smoothing down her back was undoubtedly nice and she just pressed herself closer to him. He was just so...tempting. Entirely tempting. She just wanted so much. But at the same time she didn’t want to rush. You had to savor things like this for as long as you could. And it seemed that they’d have time. Perhaps all the time in the world.
Her hands smoothed through his hair a bit as she kissed him. Though, when he pulled back just enough to say those two words, she was curious as to what had prompted them. He was smiling some against her lips, but apologizing at the same time. “Sorry for what?” she managed to say back, her voice still soft. He obviously didn’t need to apologize for making her the happiest girl in the world.
