Known for it's rain, Seattle only sees about 58 days of clear skies a year, usually between May and September, the rest of the time, it is either cloudy or raining. The temperature is nice and cool all year long, but thanks to the humidity it's known to get burning hot and freezing cold in the blink of an eye. It is a coastal port city and has a reputation for being a coffee-obsessed city, and it's known for being the birthplace of the amazing Starbucks. Seattle has a football (Seattle Seahawks), baseball (Seattle Mariners), soccer (Seattle Sounders), basketball (Seattle SuperSonics - NBA and Seattle Storm - WNBA), and hockey team (Seattle Thunderbirds). Every year, there is a music festival called Bumbershoot that features a wide range of music. The city is known for having the largest ferry system in the US, and it is a prime form of transportation. There is a little bit of something for everyone. There are several universities in Seattle, including the Art Institute of Seattle and the University of Washington. Whatever you are looking for in Seattle, you are sure to find it!
