Masked Menace Murders Mungo's Medics Death Eater Determined to Be Bellatrix Lestrange
By: RITA SKEETER
In the depths of the overnight darkness, a Death Eater broke the protective barriers at St Mungo's and pulverized offices and a plant and potions ward. And while the DMLE has refused to speculate on the identity of the attacker, sources inside the hospital named Bellatrix Lestrange as the masked murderess who laid waste to significant fractions of the third and fourth storeys of the hospital.
Reconstructing the event, it appears that Lestrange attacked offices attached to the the Spell Damage wards and collapsed the floor and ceiling into the patient wards underneath. A dramatic duel ensued while hospital staff hurried patients out of the way. Arriving Aurors found only the remains of the deceased and the sorrowful sobs of the survivors.
Dead in the debris were Healer Arlo Mulciber, Head of the Damage Ward, and at least one other person. While St Mungo's and the DMLE have not released the names of the remaining deceased, rumour at St Mungo's suggests that one of the other deceased was potioneer Lily Evans Potter, the notorious Muggleborn activist whose home in Godric's Hollow was the site of the last major battle of the war, the one in which You-Know-Who was killed.
In addition to the dead, the twenty-five person ward that Lestrange crashed into was severely damaged. Patients have been removed and redistributed, and the hospital is denying all site visitors today. Further, they are rescheduling all public clinics through Monday and asking that non-emergency cases be treated at home with assistance from the Healer's Helper app through its mediwizard call function.
Meanwhile, Lestrange is still at large and the DMLE suggests that all persons remain alert for signs of her or any other Death Eater. They ask that you report any sightings through the DMLE Dark Detection app, which routs your tips to the Auror Office.
