There was a tiny aborted whimper in his thought. Rational thought told him to disengage, to save face. But this was not the time or space for rational thought. This was all best both at his worst and his best, who was selfish and took what he wanted. (But just sometimes didn't he deserve that?)
Remus ignored the redirect, pressing closer where Sirius had opened the space. Somewhere in all of this he realized they were on different pages, and that wouldn't do. "Well, you're already mine. And I'm yours. I'd say we're well passed dignity now."
