30 April: Entangling Rats DM: The Brothers Lestrange: Entangling Rats
I think I need someone to look intimidating and boss me about.
No, right, yes. What I said.
Thought I'd sent this to Rissa and was about to get a very different sort of response.
I don't even want to know.
But do clarify about the initial thoughts.
Can't remember, did I already tell you about my other idea for pulling the dragon's pigtails?
I believe I left the details to you. Is there something else I should know about?
I think things'll be easier with the rat on board, and given recent behaviour, I don't think he's going to jump quite so readily at the "fuck the old geezers anyway" rhetoric as Sev did. Orders, on the other hand...
You know him best.
Is there any way to better position those orders? An ask? A well-veiled threat or warning?
Ugh, how did I get saddled with being the bloody rat-whisperer?
Keep it simple for starters. He'll dodge or wriggle if he can, but Orders From On High worked before, so it's worth a try.
Maybe call both of us in together. I'll do the whining and wriggling and you can berate me, then when I give in he has less space to wriggle AND it puts me and him on the same side.
Stepwise perhaps? To test his commitment. And then escalate as necessary.
If we are to keep him around, I want to know if he is worth the effort.
Sounds good. By himself he's handy but expendable, but what we could do with him is worth holding onto for the right moment
Then best to get a feel of the waters as it were. I play my role and let you know how things fall.
