Who knew that my own twin brother would be such a philistine?

Brother, 'Philistine' is a surprising comment from someone who posts Jiyūka. There are literally hundreds of Ikebana styles, and you picked the one from the swedish furniture store.

I'd rather think of you as a philistine than a stick-up-the-arse hidebound traditionalist like Aunt Lucretia. But I suppose I am to be proven wrong on the kindest assumption I can make.

If you go off on Glass next, you and I shall have words.

Oh, yes, that's me. Sorry if I think flower arranging really needs to include flowers. I am overly attached to formalism, exactly like Aunt L. I do thank you for your grandmotherly kindness. It fits like a family sweater.

And I'll say nothing against Glass. I like playing his compositions. More enjoyable on the piano, but that's what happens when the composer is a pianist.

Excuse me, what do you think those red things are?

Good. You can go and throw paint at Pollock instead.

I'm going to take this as an indication that old Lu doesn't have a Wizphone yet. I can sleep better at night knowing that, ta.

She has a phone. She just doesn't use photo apps. That's for interns, not important people.

Actually, the longer I look at that picture the more the twiggy bits look like long sticky fingers and it's starting to freak me out.

They're branches. It's a Japanese form of flower arranging.

But also art. And therefore open to interpretation.

Nothing wrong with flowers and antlers.

Fair enough, and thank you. Nice to see the younger set is more open to ikebana than my peers.

It's got color, it's got abstract shapes, its got intrigue. What more could art need?

That'd be brilliant. I don't know if mine would look like that though

It should always be different. Every time. I mean you wouldn't usually paint the same thing over and over again and even if you did, some things would change, right? And it's not like ikebana, or any other form of flower arrangement, is designed for permanence.

It's because Moony mentioned antlers, innit.
