The Quest

The morning was filled with the excitement of dozens of Hogwarts students eager to get off the castle grounds. The sun, although tucked behind some clouds, was high in the sky making for a mild early Spring day. In the village, the shopkeepers and residents of the small wizarding village were just as eager, sweeping their steps, and polishing their glasses for the influx of visitors today.

It should have been a good day.

Except not longer after the last of the Hogwarts students have arrived in the village, the temperature shifted. Quite literally as the clouds moved in and from them erupted a large ominous dark mark. Something that had not been seen since the Battle of Godric’s Hollow.

The panic was immediate as the streets cleared.

[Please feel free to react if your character might have been in Hogsmeade or called in after the mark went up. Assume Hogwarts staff and DMLE are on their way to put the town on lockdown. No Death Eaters will get arrested. Any injuries will be incidental to panic.]

I would like to remind everyone that we do not award initiative. This was not what I asked of any of you, and such reckless abandon may cause ill will. Now, each and every one of you is responsible for mitigating the fall out. I expect to hear some creative solutions.
