Is anyone looking to get a flat? I think it's time for me to move out and unless I want a very shoddy flat in Knockturn, I need a roommate. Besides, it'd be more fun with someone else, don't you think?

Daddy! There's an adoption fair at the Ministry. Can I get a pet? Please?

Okay, just assuming he says yes, what should I get? I love cats, and they're rather independent, but a dog or a crup might be cute, too. What do you all think?

It's been a good run. Still nowhere near Catriona McCormack's 36 tries at the World Cup, but after 38 years in the BIL, I've decided I'm ready to step down. This will be my last season with the Kestrals and in professional Quidditch.

I find it doesn't bother me like I thought it might. The game's given a lot to me, and I'm looking forward to finding ways to give back to the game. I'm looking forward to the time off, too, and to eating whatever I bloody well feel like and never getting up before 8 a.m. again.

Farewell, British and Irish League. It's been a blast, and I wouldn't trade the last 38 years for anything. See you in the stands.

Ummm.

Okay, the other day I said something about how I had a sure thing kind of flat? Nevermind on that. I don't want to talk about it.

Back to square one!

GOOD NEWS!!! I have found a flat!!!

I know, I know. Round of applause, please and thank you. It's a really nice flat, too! It has two bedrooms and it isn't even in a bad neighborhood. Okay, I mean, there are better neighborhoods. And there were some dodgy looking characters about. But the landlord said that it's really not that bad at all, especially since there's a lot of locks on the doors on top of all of the warding that they do to keep out the creepers from down the street. So that's really great, right?? Security! Fancy!

And I mean, sure. The landlord said that some stuff needs to be repaired, but they're working on it! Who needs working plumbing, really? Well, I do. But they're going to hopefully have it fixed up before I have to move in, so that's fine! Right?

Anyway, I have another one on Diagon Alley that I want to check out, but looking at flats = fantastic! Exciting!

Things That Made Celeste Corner Feel Like An Adult This Week (despite still being 17):

1. Looking at flats. We've only been out of Hogwarts for, like, a month or something, but I'm beyond ready to head on out of my parents'. No offense, Elise; you and my favorite nephew are grand roommates. Looking at them, though, has overnight turned me into some kind of miserly nutter. I have to keep reminding myself that while not spending a lot of money on rent is great, so is not living in shady parts of London and having to fend off bug infestations.

2. Along the lines of the above, deciding that it'd be really grand if there was a garden option with whatever flat I end up picking. I never wanted a garden before, but suddenly I now do and I don't know if that makes me old or just am opening myself up to new experiences blah blah blah, but I'm putting it here anyway.

3. I haven't done a cartwheel in a million years and I tried to do one yesterday and I landed on my arse. I used to be able to do two right in a row. My life is more or less over.

4. Remembering that I am employed by an actual Quidditch team and it's not just some wild and crazy dream that I'm having and I'll wake up at any moment. At least, I hope it's not a dream. That'd be a hell of a long dream.

5. Um. That's about it.

Okay, so it isn't a long list. But the fact still stands that I feel a lot more like an adult than I thought I would two months ago while I was cramming for NEWTs.

I've had one of these tablets for a couple of days, but I've only just now had a chance to get it set up. Anytime I took it out when Ed was awake, he immediately tried to grab it and put it in his mouth. Just like everything else he gets his hands on.

Lilu, if I wasn't living with my parents and didn't have Ed, you know you'd be able to crash on my couch anytime. Does your dad know that you were able to see everything he was saying?

I am so amused right now.

Cock? Tits? Is this what all our favourite old people talk about? My oh my!
