My sister and I are looking for a new flat. Our lease is running out and we aren't sure we want to stay where we are. I guess I'll have to start looking and scheduling appointments to go figure something out.

Got one of these tablets finally. Using them is easy but I don't have much time in my schedule to access them as of late. What with practises and all. I'll try to rectify that.

Then again, not sure if I have anything too exciting happening for Halloween. We'll see if that changes as the time gets closer though.

I always feel bad when I watch an author walk out disappointed when my boss doesn't decided to pick up their work. Especially when I think what they were doing was really pretty amazing. I think that's the worst part of this job watching dreams crushed, but on the other side I get to see dreams made too…

My sister appears to have dropped off the face of the earth, which, let us face it, is rather par for the course for her. I'm sure she'll be back soon enough, telling me to cut my hair.

Speaking of my hair, I got the 'just a gentle reminder, it's getting rather ... bird-like' at the Muggle job today. No-one at the Magical job seems to give two shites what it looks like.

Today's 'adventure' will involve me paying someone to cut it to a 'reasonable' length. I may not reappear again for several more weeks.

C'est la vie.

BRILLIANT date. We are going out for lunch tomorrow - it's so fantastic to be able to discuss books with a guy actually knows what he's talking about.

On a completely unrelated note - if I threw a Halloween party - is there any interest? Other than Lily? Because I think with all the crazy lately it would be great for people to be able to let off some steam.

I need a new dress - who wants to go shopping?

Why can't sensible shoes and pretty shoes be the same thing? Even with charms on them my heels always attempt to do me in. I treat them kindly and this is how they repay me! Honestly, the nerve.

Then again, it is a good excuse to relax on the couch with a book, a bit of tea, and my feet up...

I just had the most delightful encounter in a bookstore. And got a date out of it to a reading next weekend. It's funny how life works.

Also, heading out to a band showcase tomorrow night - anyone game? I need some other opinions.

I've been avoiding this thing as of late, but with Liv running throughout the house as well as my job, I haven't had time.

Then again, most of the reviews of my book were negative. The plot's been done a million times; the characters are one note and so on.

Maybe I'm not cut out for writing after all.

My boss just told me that I'm not using this enough, it's important to stay relevant and on top of trends. He's right of course, I am just never sure what I should say. I don't really think anyone wants to hear about my day to day life running errands and making sure there are no mistakes in documents.

Well, I guess that was a start right?

Due to some travel complications we ended up in Hong Kong for a night and it's absolutely AMAZING.

It's this huge hub of activity with a perfect mixture of East and West, new and old, and it's beautiful.

There are SO MANY PEOPLE here and the city really is a living and breathing entity. I'm not a huge fan of cities but this is one I think I can fall in love with. You should see the night markets and the street sign lights that go on as far as the eye can see, they're breathtaking in person. Something about this city just bleeds energy and it's overwhelming for a small group of foreign geeks who are much more used to animals than people but we're enjoying it and taking it all in while we still have the chance.

We kind of want to stay here a little longer since there's so much to see but it doesn't seem like that'll happen. Maybe we'll take a trip here together sometime.

Monty
Oh! I made it a point to ask for Edmund's birthday off. As luck would have it, we'll be in the country so I'll definitely be in attendance!

Scamanders
It occurred to me that I haven't said a thing since I've left! I'm sorry I'm so bad at keeping touch but I did pick up some things for you. I can't wait to come back and tell you about this trip!

In a little more than a month- on 2 November- I'll finally be making an honest man out of Seamus Finnigan.  Yes, that's right, after being together for twenty-seven years, we're making things official and getting married.

Not really sure why we hadn't done this already, mind, but we've been a bit busy what with raising a bunch of kids together and all that adult life nonsense.

If you think you'll be invited to the wedding, you probably are.  Proper invitations and all that will go out soon.  It'll be a grand party!

I think I kept that rather subdued, don't you?  Granted, most of the people reading this don't know that I've been practically skipping around the house since you said yes.

You know what we haven't done in ages? A party. We should have one at our flat. I know we don't have a proper reason for one, but who needs an excuse, yeah?

You know, I think I liked it better when our parents couldn't read our every word.

Monty and I have added to the Wood household yet again. This time, we brought home the world's most adorable puppy.

I'm delighted to announce on here that my final manuscript for my next book, the first in the 6th year of the Animagus Avengers, has been accepted and I can announce it's title:

The Thoroughly Terrifying Thestral!

Expect this book to see Susanna, Denise, Janelle and Clarisse challenged even more than they ever have. I can't give too much away, but you'll be happy to know that Amalthia the unicorn is back with a pretty large role, and that there is some love, death and hope. I hope you'll consider preordering for our Christmas release!

I'll be having an author talk and reading on Halloween morning, so you're invited, young and old fans alike!

I'm also looking forward to a European book tour-and I get to bring Clarence with me! What could be better??

[Private to Ravenclaw Alums]

How are my fellow 'claws, young and old? It seems so strange that I don't have any more children to go through Hogwarts, but I suppose I have grandchildren to hopefully look forward to.

[Clarence]

I can't wait for the book tour! They already sent me info for our first city-October 16-22 will will be in Prague at Hotel Green Lobster! Isn't that just a really charming sounding hotel?? I can't wait!

So, with the network all open now, I should probably stop bragging about nicking galleons from the till, right?

HI, DAD!

Fuck a thrice damned duck...

Editors of the world - we artists aren't bloody fucking magicians. Just because I can generally produce passable work in a crunch doesn't mean that you can come to me with an obscenely short deadline and I can making fucking work every fucking time.

I got it done - but ....

I need a pint. Anyone up for keeping me company for a bit? I am at 'Pints' in Diagon if anyone is.

I guess I've just been focused on work. I don't really pay that much attention to these things, but my co-worker was telling me that I was missing a lot of entertainment... So I guess I'm here now?
