"Not much better elsewhere, unfortunately," Conlan replied, almost despite himself, and for a moment his gaze drifted. Not a memory he wanted to summon, and he moved his attention back to the last room once she asked.
"Well, to unleash the monster, then to the Alric's. He'll have the beddin' and most of the camp equipment you might need. I'll have most of what we need for cookin' gear with me, but it'd be good to pick up a set while we're there. Might need it on another mission."
He moved back to the barn area, where the massive horse had calmed, and crouched to pick up the fallen reigns. He went for the saddle next, hefting it up before sliding the gate open and moving inside. "You bringin' your friend with you?" Sovereign, for his part, seemed to have forgotten entirely about the dog, or stopped caring once he realized that the pooch wasn't a problem. He nickered and nudged, then stood still as straps and buckles were set in place.
