"Hello?" Eiyrs called out from outside the front of the blacksmith's shop, unable to see Conlan inside and not wanting to intrude. She turned to Daeargryn, who was studying the shop with a tilted head. "Do you think we should go in?" she asked the battle hound. "I mean, the door's open, so they must be in business, right?"
The hound let out a whuffing noise and trotted inside, so Eirys shrugged and followed. If she was expected to be going on a mission for the Order at dawn tomorrow, she needed to repair some weapons. She hoped the actual mission wasn't as strange as the summons had been. A child with a face painted like a dog handing a piece of paper to her while she was eating breakfast and then running off before Eirys could question it? Less than a day to get ready for a mission she knew nothing about? It was terribly odd.
"Conlan, are you in?" she called out as she entered the shop, shooing Dae away from the forge. She'd been getting her weapons tooled at the Stone Song since moving to the city and thought she got along well with the blacksmith, and as such she didn't particularly want to take her business to a competitor, but time appeared to be a factor today.
