plot what plot

hiii all.
So, now that the status quo has been so thoroughly messed up in the game, I'm curious as to what sort of things everyone would like to see! Whether it's game-wide things or just individual plots you'd like to do with your character or stuff from the comics you think would be cool! I'd really love to have everyone's input on this, so if you could comment on this post throwing ideas at me, I'd really appreciate that!

I already made a list of things I want to do with my characters personally over on my CDJ, but as a more game wide thing, I would love to see more of the split between characters. Like, it came out naturally with some of the characters on how things were handled with the kidnappees, good vs not so good, canon X-Men vs Brotherhood, etc. It just made me :D to see it come out and I would love to see more of it if that is possible.

I hope that makes sense. My brain is dead from knitting hats.

	Yeah, I totally lived it as well, and I'd love to see more of it. So if people have ideas for situations to make it come out more, I'd love to work with that. Slightly tangentially, what would people think about more than one living situation? It has not typically worked in the past, but I wondered if it would in this situation. I think it was Zo who said it, but it just happened so naturally and it didn't seem forced at all, which was why I thought it was so awesome. I found some of my graphic novels in the basement, so maybe I'll take a peek around to see if they have anything.

It may work. They are connected by the network and that helps a lot. Plus, we've already established a lot of in-game connections, which also works in the favor of separate living quarters. Were you thinking they could move freely between the different places? Without being stupid about it, of course.

Yeah, I'd much rather it happen organically than have anything forced from up above, tbh.

The vague thought is to have one place where people are known mutants/don't mind people knowing can live, with a second, secret location. The reason I'm worried is that I've never really seen it work - it flopped badly in btx, and usually mutliplelocation games don't work well. But it may be different here, given the nature of the network and having places like inferno where people can meet.

Like, would the people from the secret location be able to visit the kids at the not so secret location? While we do have a strong frame work through the network and the Inferno, I also think characters need more private-like places to interact? IDK. There are just some aspects of family/platonic/romantic relationships that can't happen in public places if that makes sense?

Well, perhaps some more anti mutant sentiments---but more from regular people, not religious zealots. It would give them something to react to, a split between mutant support and not so much. Perhaps? I am not sure, exactly.

Perhaps anti-human sentiments could raise up between the kids too, because there maybe some of them who feel that way.

That way there could be separation and what have you---naturally of course.

I am not sure if any of that made sense, and as for doing stuff with my kids personally, I am not sure.

	SO I'm am just going to throw out names of possible plot tools and y'all can just comment on them? I like this idea. I'm not particularly attached to any of these ideas so don't feel like you have to sign up for them :D I just want to get juices flowing. 	I think since we've already seen some scientific and religious reactions to it that it also makes sense to see how this issue is addressed in politics. It doesn't even have to be Kelly, per se. 	Oh totally. The news report says they don't know what started the earthquake, so I am sure someone out there wants to point fingers and use it for political gain. On another political angle, what government wouldn't be interested in walking weapons of mass destruction or people who could take espionage/warfare to the next level. Personally I would love to see more of these guys subtly worming their way into our young heroes' hearts. I loved Xavier's random meetings with Warren, Jean, and Jamie. I'd love to see more of this but also throw in Erik too. I know a lot of people are excited about the organic divide that has been more evident given recent plots and this can be a way to start organizing it? Idk.

	Me/Kat/Zo are (rofl in theory!) working on a scene with him and Pietro/Lorna/Wanda, so that could maybe be a semi tipping point or something with him to get him into forming his own mutant front? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

For Lila, I have some stuff planned for space adventures occurring in the very near future. Some of the crimes she committed in space will be catching up with her.
For Bea, I spoke to some people about this yesterday and I think I like it the more I think about it: I am thinking she will meet a PhD candidate in History at USC and have a little ~awakening~ before he falls off the face of the earth.

For Jean, she'll be starting med school here soon and there's still the unresolved issue of who she saw when she swore she saw her deceased sister.

For Jono, he'll be showing up to join the crowd soon (I don't really have any plans with him aside from stuff with Emma and Aurora/Jeanne-Marie interaction).

I'm also up for suggestions! Really I would love some more interaction :D

- More backlash from everyday people would be good! There's definitely some :||| feelings, I think, but I think most of them have a decent rep at the moment? Something happens that totally shatters the reputation of all mutants or something, I don't really know.

- I know this isn't a ~~training/team game, and I'm not suggesting squads or anything like that, but maybe more of a "maybe we need to know to learn how to use our powers for more than lulz & giggles" feeling? IDK if this makes sense, but I have totally talked to you about this re: Bobby, and it'd be interesting to see more people step up, take initiative, and learn more about their powers.

- More things with Inferno! Though I think you have something planned. :>

- I have to second the comment about the Brotherhood. I know I don't have any characters that are leaning towards the not so good side of things, but I'm interested in seeing the development of the characters that are a little more evil~ or whatever.

- Hellfire. :D More government interaction!

	I know there was something of the training room in the original hotel -- nothing sophisticated or anything. Maybe with the repairs, that's something that can be "upgrades" and like-powered residents can start training sessions together? (Reply to this) (Parent)

I feel weird tagging publicly about plot ideas, idk why! I'm a freak. I do have some personal char plots I'm interested in doing (Star and his mental institution, people like Doug and Cal advancing their powers more, Pietro and his family, blah blah), and on the large-scale level I'll probably just IM you with stuff later! There's stuff upcoming that idk if I should mention here >.>? If there's Brood then durrr of course I'd want to toss Cal into that. And if there's ALIENS then Warlock would be fun for me on a personal levelll. Graydon Creed running for Pres or something would of course be crazy fun. And Gyrick and the Sentinels. Genosha! I'm grabbing things from the top of my head.

All that said though, a musical plot at some point would be awesome.

Umm game-wide stuff off the top of my head. A temporary power swap could be fun? I'm not sure how it would come about (details, details) but it'd be a nice, angst-light plot to play around with? And it would give everybody something to do. Maybe government involvement. On the one hand (like Kati suggested) you could have Kelly and his anti-mutant legislation but there could be some parts of the government that are interested in using them? Instead of just labeling them all or whatever. So you could have like some sort of shady government program where they're studying some of the kids or trying to make them work for their country~ or whatever. Idk. And I'm seconding/thirding/whatevering an exploration in some sort of split. Because obviously there's a lot of different opinions and viewpoints flying around and that's probably going to get more tense. So lines drawn in the sand etc. could be interesting.

Character wise, lets see. Like a lot of people I'd love to see more from Erik and theoretically like Ash said, we're working on a little family reunion of sorts. For Lorna that would be a big deal because eventually I want her to have gone from being so anti-freak to we-are-superior and her father's opinions about that would have a big impact on her. I'd also like to see her get a little devil may care and pull some sort of minature Bonnie&Clyde crimewave because her powers make stealing so very tempting. But I have no idea how realistic that would be or if it'd be allowed. Though I guess that could tie into any potential BH-like plot? Those kids aren't likely to stick to the straight and narrow anyway :D

If I think of more I'll tag back but I think I've rambled far too much >>

I definitely think it would be interesting if we did a bit of the training-type stuff -- it wouldn't have to be anything serious, but maybe people would be interested in being able to use their powers in a more serious fashion? Oh man, SO MANY GOOD IDEAS. I'm late on the ball and idk if any of this stuff has gotten rolling yet, but I especially agree with:

• I really like the idea of more organised powers training -- it could get the kids feeling more proactive about their abilities & like they can do more with them. And maybe that can also lead to some natural practice 'teams' forming, as an allusion to all the various canon groups? Not to force the organisations or anything, but there are definitely some canon connections that I kept meaning to draw on, but never managing to/finding the time to/personally failboating on (COUGH COUGH COUGH MADROX'S X-FACTOR COOUOGHGHHH).

• Government involvement a+!

• ERIK AND CHARLES.

• Maybe a separate group of NPC mutants who don't want to join with Paradise, and go rogue and start fucking shit up and ruining global mutant cred? idk. I guess it's hard when pretty much any canon character can be played, but an unaffiliated NPC group could be interesting to mess with the global reputation thing. LIKE THE FALLEN ANGELS IN NYC. PAST PLOT HOLLER HOLLER.

• POWER SWAP.

• And I have one more thing but I will contact you sekrit-like about it.
