Mostly out of surprise Alice's hand stayed threaded in Saturday's hair, resting against her shoulder. She didn't look away from her friend, the look in her eye was enough to keep her attention. The question though? That was something more. Alice didn't know the names and she wasn't as familiar with the other gods as she should have been- sometimes she wasn't as familiar with the Greeks as she should have been- but she could tell they weren't normal names.
"Satur- Is that what I should call you?" Now Alice's own heart was beginning to speed up. She hadn't freely talked about these things on her own- they had always been facilitated by Jeremiah or the one evening when Archer showed up. This was different. This was her friend. And yet she knew the energy coming from her. The smell of flowers after the first rain.
Swallowing hard Alice took a leap of faith, her eyes still intently on the other woman's. "Who are you?" she asked. There was no tone to her voice that implied rejection, fear, or confusion. It was more of question of what more to Saturday was there.
