The burger had been finished in quick order, as had been the fries. Steve could honestly likely do with a whole other meal, but he wasn’t going to let himself get into that trap. It would require too much of a workout later to get rid of, and despite appearances to the contrary, he took rather good care of himself. And he kept track of everything he ate so he knew just how hard he would have to work out to keep himself in shape, something that was that much harder since he stopped playing football at school.
So, he did what he usually did when he wanted his mind off of things. He focused on his art. And, with the annoyances of his day, it really helped him find that bit of inspiration to make things come alive on the page. When, she came about again though, he motioned toward his soda glass. “A refill on that? Straight up coke.” He said with a grin, before he motioned toward his sketchpad.
“What do you think?” The last sketch was clearly of her, though it would seem more. A more idealized version of her, perhaps. All the little details were a touch better, or more prefect than she already looked, and the hair was definitely way more behaved than hers likely was in real life. It wouldn’t have been the first time he had been sketching in the diner, he would have been known for it, though it just might have been the first time he sketched her.
