He sniffed at the hand that was offered to him, wary and stiff-legged. Ready to bolt or to fight, whichever came first. Instinct ruled in these situations, especially as he wasn't sure what to trust. The human part offered caution. To wait. To listen. The other half wasn't so sure. It didn't want anything to do with the god, Norse or otherwise.
But Loki was family.
"You never came for me." He was still a child in so many ways, beneath the giant teeth and angry snarls. And he was an abandoned child, to make it worse. The wolf growled again and stepped back, looking even more upset than before. At the mention of Hel though, his ear flicked forward, contemplating that statement. "I have met others. They smell different than humans."
Fenrir snorted. "I am a monster." That was not even a question. Both Eric and Fenrir agreed upon that. He was neither god nor man - never had been either.
"They can't hurt me." He sounded very certain of that. "Especially not while they're human." He was much bigger than even the humans like this. He was not worried about anything they could do. "And I have never been caught."
