"Whoa, whoa! You can't just do that, either!" Scrambling to pull the robe closed once more, Abigail made a face. Who did this Neptune think he was? Aphrodite was still laughing, finding this all too amusing, though was impressed with Neptune's assertive nature. What was it about men of the sea and gods of war? They had a way about them, and it was a way that Aphrodite had always appreciated. It had always been truly unfortunate that her husband had never been that way. She did love him, but it just had never been meant to be. She knew the other gods had done it as a punishment.
Though she knew it would crush Lydia, and Reed just the same, Abigail considered the options at hand. If she just let Neptune and Aphrodite have their fun, perhaps it would sate their hunger for each other. It was obvious the more they pushed them away, the worse it was going to be when they did see each other. What would happen if they ran into each other with Lydia around? There was no guarantee that allowing them this moment would keep them from reaching for each other again, though.
Pressing a hand against the warm skin of Reed's bare chest, Abigail looked up at him with surprisingly stern eyes and a concentrated gaze. She didn't want to allow it, but maybe it would help. Maybe it wouldn't help at all, and Abigail would just end up ruining a few lives in an attempt to mend a relationship between her friends.
"You get one. Get it out of your systems, and then let Reed enjoy his relationship with Lydia in peace. Got it?" She paused, but kept a firmness about her.
"And you're wearing one whether you want to or not."
