Bast blinked, giving Reed an almost patronizing and mild look, and she smirked before sighing heavily. "You do realize that back in our days, 'philandering' wasn't necessarily considered a terrible thing. Sexuality was much more open. It was only when you were in positions of power that philandery was dangerous and that was because of potential heirs and offspring. I blame the new religions for ruining humanity's view of sex. It's such a physical act. Like dancing."
She was slightly annoyed at being thought of as a hole. She was a goddess. A queen. She deserved better than that, but she knew that Reed was hurt. "Luckily, she's not in a relationship with him. She's in one with you. She will have to accept everything you are, including the god that is inside of you."
Bast smiled as the cat came running up and she tilted her head. "He doesn't like the distress you show when Neptune takes over. It upsets him. I understand and I am glad that Miriam and I are more in concert. Well, about most things."
And as if a switch flipped, Miriam was back in control. She squeaked, grabbing a blanket and sending pillows flying everywhere as she tugged it around herself. "Oh my god. Oh my god. What the fuck." She was shocked to say the least. It was her goddess, though. She had a statue of Bast on her mantle, for goodness sake, but...wow.
