She smiled out of the corner of her mouth as he spoke; "I've noticed, I think that might be why they are so scary to me. I'm always waiting for one of them to judge incorrectly and get hit. And no!" She laughed lightly, "I'm terrified! Why would I get on a death-trap on wheels? I'll stay in my nice safe enclosed vehicles, thank you." Turning to him Hera gently pressed the cup toward him, taking a sip of her own. Going to the fridge she pulled out a few of the small snacks she'd made (mostly sweet, she was a baker not a cook) and then came to sit with him, placing the platter on the table.
"It's a difficult situation, it is hard enough to try and learn and accept as a mortal vessel this new family your god-soul is so close too, but to have a relationship with those people outside of that? It's a fine line to have to learn to walk." She was quiet for a moment after that, looking at the platter she set down before raising her eyes solemnly to look at him.
"I feel I should ask, and I will accept and not judge for whatever answer you give, would you like to talk to me as a psychologist or as a friend?" She gave him a small smile, "it will be a bit different, as I'm sure you could imagine, whichever you chose. Not to say I cannot do both, but I want to help you in the best way you want. This isn't some session in my office so that is your decision to make." And Hera meant that, she would be an emphatic ear if that is what he wanted, or something a bit more professional; but as this was not in her office, she would give him that choice and do her best to remain that choice.
