It was times like this that both Miles and Veles were grateful that they let the other do as they pleased. Miles was even happier that Veles allowed him the abilities he did. Though he was with Raven, Miles knew he wouldn't come into nearly half of the things he did, or have the ability to do what he could without Veles. Really, it wasn't all that terrible having some age-old deity living in your head and in your soul. He didn't understand why people were against it. Did they not see the amazing things they could do? Obviously not.
Calling out from work with a head cold, Miles had eagerly accepted the invitation from Raven. Jeremiah? Well, he wouldn't mind as long as they returned it in one piece, right? There was no guarantee with that, but they would certainly do their best. Besides, they weren't true pirates if they were being cautious.
Sunglasses sitting slightly crooked on his face - it was possible that they belonged to Jeremiah or a past visitor on the boat - Miles and Veles alike gave Raven a short and a grin. "Move over. I'll drive for a bit." He didn't know how to drive a boat as much as his companion for the day and voyage, but it really wasn't too hard. The throttle controlled the speed, keep an eye on the depth finder to ensure they didn't hit bottom, and go as fast as the engine would allow them.
Taking over the wheel, he gave it a quick turn to make another pass through their fellow boaters. There had been a particularly pretty vessel with a particularly attractive captain and first mate sitting comfortable on the bow of boat just moments before.
