"You do have a certain sway with the management." Okay, comfortable was really, really good. She didn't mind sitting out back, either, as she dropped down to the step beside her friend. Juniper wasn't the type to keep things from her friends but this was just so odd she wasn't sure how to approach it. How do you tell someone that the guy you thought you had a crush on might be absolutely crazy?
Or that he made you feel like you might be crazy, too?
"This guy..." Juniper scrubbed a hand across her face and huffed out a deep breath. "I don't get it. Like, this whole thing doesn't make a lot of sense because I should be absolutely terrified of him, right?" She slumped down a little bit. "I mean, he shows up to bring me flowers and then starts talking about how I'm really someone else and that he needs me to be someone else."
That part had scared her, whether she wanted to admit it or not. "And then sometime happened and I started getting sick - like my chest was going to explore." And the next part was so embarrassing. She buried her face in her hands and mumbled. "AndthenhekissedmeorIkissedhim."
