Who: Wendy and Zinny. Where: NY Presbyterian. What: Comfort/hurt/revelations. When: After this.
Twenty minutes; just enough time to stop a meeting dead in its tracks and to get the hell out of the building, to tell her driver where to go and to cancel the rest of her day while they drove to the hospital. While she hadn't really known Zinny's father, he and Zinny were family and unlike the feelings of some that she had to call family, that was more than enough for her. And yes, she was quite aware that she didn't quite look like what one might expect a great aunt to be - but once you shared your mind with a goddess (and had for a number of years), one could expect logic to go fuck itself. After asking for a Zinniah Hearst at the info desk, she was sent up and she meekly did followed the instructions, while the place served as a constant reminder that everything changed. Hell. She'd worked here long ago, but it was to be expected now; she was completely out of the loop. And again, ridiculously overdressed, but that came with the damn job.
After lightly knocking on the door, Wendy pushed the door open and simply stood there. "Hello." What else was there to say right now anyway?
