The sparkle in his eyes captivated her like a gem forgotten in the soil. She returned the kiss, pressing into it with a slow boiling passion, feeling soothed that he had not entirely slipped away from their affection, the game was still on. She was not quite so easily distracted though. "You are avoiding answering my question about our brother," she pointed out, intending on getting her answer. Hearing both of the names on his lips made her swallow and she moved more fully over him, kissing him deeper and fuller.
"You'll tire of it soon enough," she said with some note of bitterness. While he may have blamed her running away, Demeter's position was that Poseidon's attention couldn't be held. In truth it was likely a combination of the two but she didn't like to bend in such ways when it came to her brother. Still she moved, her leg sliding over his to straddle his lap as her own hand smoothed up his chest, gripping the back of his neck.
"Neither can I," she whispered, her own confession into his kiss.
