The late shift was never Abigail's favorite, but when she wasn't working at the call center, it was better than having nothing to do. Granted, evenings off were usually spent hanging out with Lydia or wandering the city in search of a decent-paying acting gig. The former was always fun and Abigail never had a dull moment when she was spending it with one of her closest friends. The latter? Well, it rarely had positive results and usually left any aspiring actor feeling a little less inspired.
"I don't think you can eat a pie just by staring at it." Offering Robert one of her signature bright smiles, Abigail couldn't help the light chuckle that came with her comment. He had been quite the sight; staring down at the pastry as though it was going to try and attack him. Or something equally silly.
"I would ask if you weren't happy with the blueberry, but this is slice number two. But, I think we have some peach left. Interested?"
