She bristled slightly- she didn't like to back down, not when he was involved, or that was what it felt like. "I am not your darling," she told him though she didn't sound nearly as argumentative as she could have. She swallowed, still unsure about all of this. "Doesn't- Don't you have a wife?" Not that she felt much respect for that person.
She forced her shoulders to relax, she focused on the familiar body and the refreshing rain, the sound of thunder overhead. "I don't feel any different," she told him, her voice a bit quiet still, less defensive. "Just- confused." There was more confidence too, she had to admit, more understanding of some of the things that had been going on over the weekend- throughout her life, the way the plants grew around her.
There was one other change. Slowly things seemed to occur to her, things she didn't know how she knew exactly. "For you, I'd say you've been incredible patient.
"I'd ask how you found me but I guess you've always been annoyingly good at that..."
She looked up, letting the water wash over her face again, sighing as she let some of the tension wash away. "You should stop, you'll exhaust yourself."
