Alice's jaw clenched. Part of her knew that she was talking with him now, but it was the part of her she was trying not to accept. "Yes I do- what are you doing?" Begrudgingly she looked up to the sky, it was as he said it was, clear skies. She was about to quip when he pulled her against his chest and she felt her heart race and her anger flare.
"Now is not exactly the time-" she started, sounding more venomous than she had taken with him. It was cut off at the sound of thunder and she looked up just in time to see the rain coming down, washing over her face.
She was breathing harder now, still held against him, her eyes locked on his. "It's not possible," she asserted again though she believed it less.
Held against him she could feel the power coming out of his body, despite the impossibility of it. Her head swam slightly, the feel of intoxication coming over her again, although this time she felt better equipped to handle it. Her forehead rested on his chest as she took deep even breaths, trying to calm down, trying to accept this. The wash of the rain helped, it was vital, it was restorative.
Eventually her arms wrapped around the middle of him. "Stop showing off Poseidon," she finally said, quiet though her voice was still strong.
