Jeremiah soaked in the attention, returning each touch with one of his own. He had been wanting to touch her, waiting for the moment when he could do more than steal random kisses. He had told her that first night that he didn't want more but it had been a small lie. He had known that he wanted more, knew that because she held the soul of Demeter that he would be drawn to more.

Jeremiah spent extra time in the shower, eyes closed as the water poured over him and rejuvenated him. Purified and chemically treated water was never the same as the ocean or sea but it was still water. He already felt ready to take on the world after the morning in bed with Alice. It had been much better than he had imagined, she was gorgeous and strong. So soft under his touch.
Alice was in her room packing and he needed to do the same. They needed to get on the road if they were going to make their destination for the day. Jumping out of the shower, Jeremiah toweled off and picked up his phone when he saw the message notification. His father and two others from work emailing with questions which he promptly ignored. He pulled on a pair of shorts and thumbed through recent blog posts on the message boards. He stopped and stared at the post from Cronus. It was ridiculous and he could feel Poseidon's anger rise up to take over.
Pulling out his laptop, he replied and then the whole world exploded. Apparently Alice was browsing too either on her phone or laptop and he sat in shock for the longest time when he saw her respond to the private post to awakened Greeks. Responding back and forth, he dropped the phone and closed the laptop. He wasn't going to go back and forth when she was only a few doors away. He was going to find her.
He was shirtless and barefoot as he knocked at her room door, everything forgotten except for the fact that Alice had read what was meant for Demeter. He knew she was going to be freaking out. "Alice. Open up. It's me." He knocked again.
