Alice tucked an errant curl behind her ear at his comment, her eyes following his gaze out into the water. It was easier that way. The conversation turned back to teasing and she gave a small smile, wading out further to stand next to him. "Right, the harvest. Not too much farm-land on our journey though. Guess I'm screwed." Despite the fact that she was only meaning to play along she found herself crossing her arms. She missed land, she missed her garden plot, apparently. She felt odd.
As she looked back at him she was about to ask if he was okay when he was splashing the water at her. She laughed, just barely managing not squeal at Jeremiah. She followed and splashed him back, laughing still. "The grin? It suddenly makes sense," she teased as she splashed at him again.
