"It would be like enjoying food without tasting it." He gave her an incredulous look and wiggled his toes. Jeremiah had to force Poseidon to stay where he was. It would serve no purpose to swim through the cold water, it would only confuse Alice and she likely wouldn't understand why the cold water wasn't bothering him like it would her. "Nothing. Just looking at you." His voice was low and he turned away to look out at the water.
"Goddess of the Harvest, of course." His tone was still teasing but he didn't look back at her, his gaze stayed on the far horizon where the sea met the sky. He fought the melancholy of missing his sister and of missing his home. Instead he leaned forward and dipped his hand into the water and splashed her lightly before taking a few steps away. A big grin on his face.
