Who: Mariana and Tara (Artemis and Zeus) When: Thursday afternoon Where: Washington Square Park What: Random strangers meet though there's something familiar there.
It was in the 70s and sunny out, so how in the hell could anyone expect Mari to be cooped up in the stuffy library at NYU today? She'd holed herself up in there or her apartment for the last couple of months and it was starting to weigh on her. Ever since she moved to the city, she felt an increasing need to be outside, to experience nature.
Mari supposed this could count as experience nature in a way, though there was a lot of concrete surrounding her. Maybe she should've headed over to Central Park instead, but Washington Square Park was closer to her apartment and she didn't want to completely flake on her work so she landed here.
A blanket was spread out on a tuft of grass closer to the fountain and she lay on her stomach, reading through one of her texts, stopping every once in a while to highlight a passage or stare up at the trees if her mind wandered.
