It wasn’t like he was expecting it to work either, though it did often enough for him to try it now and again. But, as she looked around, he chuckled a bit as leaned down on the bar, his arms crossed under him. “Two in the corner over your left shoulder keep looking over here. A guy dancing with his soon to be ex-girlfriend in the center outskirts of the dance floor keeps checking you out.” He tilted his head to the side. “Girl about five people down on the other end of the bar keeps looking at you too, though I should be jealous there as I’d rather she stared at me, but hey. Couple of other people who keep moving in the club, but always seem to come back and look over here at you. You’re more popular than I am, I should be jealous.”
He listened to her words before he gave her a mock sniff. “But, all those random guys are going to have their heart broken. Organic Girl, how can you be so cruel to the male species?” He winked at her once. “Good thing I’m not a random guy, being the bartender and all.”
The thought of slowing down earned her a smile as he tilted his head to the side. “Drawing makes me slow down. You have to, if you try to sketch or paint something too quickly, you’re going to screw something up somewhere and that just isn’t any good.” A nod was given as well. “Parents, brother and sister after they get out of school will likely be back. Couple uncles and aunts. Big old family, love it. Usually.”
