Reed gave Ciaran's hand a squeeze. "You don't have to keep apologizing, Ci." Ciaran did that a lot, and Reed understood, but it only made him feel worse to hear his brother say it. Ciaran hadn't done anything wrong. It wasn't his fault.
They were buzzed into the apartment, and Reed escorted his brother to the open door, his smile huge when he saw his amazing girlfriend standing there to greet them. Reed kept hold of Ciaran's hand, because he knew his brother needed that comfort, but he still managed to give Lydia a quick peck. "Hey back."
He gave Ciaran a look that said, 'introduce yourself.' But when Ciaran didn't, Reed made the introductions. "Ciaran, this is my girlfriend, Lydia. Lydia.. this is my brother, Ciaran."
