He was tired and doing all he could to look after Ciaran, but he knew nothing he did would suit Ciaran's needs perfectly. Ci wanted his brother and no one else. It wasn't an option, so the kid would have to settle for the next best thing.
He walked Ciaran toward the door that was the entrance to Lydia's apartment, not the store front. He hit the buzzer and waited. He'd brought Batman over earlier in the day to make sure the cat was settled and Lydia was briefed on Ciaran's needs before she actually met him. He didn't want to discuss all that with Ciaran present.
