Reed rested his chin upon Ciaran's head. "Don't worry about it, okay? I'll figure things out, and if he did steal from you, I'll get it back." It would be another layer of the investigation into Charlie. God, Reed was so angry with himself for trusting the guy to care for Ciaran. Reed felt like he should have known better. Maybe he just wanted Ciaran to be happy, and he had been.
They pulled up outside Lydia's place, and Reed shifted so he could get his wallet out. He paid the driver and then patted Ciaran. "Come on.. we're here. Let's get your stuff out of the trunk and go see Lydia."
