Who: Lydia Apostolos an Kurt Mckenzie
What: Lydia has an audition and tries not to be a spaz about it.
Where: Le Chat Noir
When: 1:00pm on Thursday
"Mom, mom, stop it, MOM STOP IT, MOM. SERIOUSLY."
"One more, one more!"
"I swear to freaking...."
"Don't swear."
"You make me want to, Mom back up I'm fine and I don't need you to keep blessing me by Apollo, like, seriously what are you doing."
Lydia Apostolos was used to it though, this whole prayers to the gods thing. Her mom was notorious for it even in the Greek community where several of the older families still had mini temples in their apartments. More as a show of their roots and culture than anything they truly believed in, as most of them were Orthodox these days. Not Corrine. Corrine kept the temples because she believed in them, because one had visited her grandfather as a boy and said to be ready for their second coming.
Corrine was well known but maybe for the wrong reasons. Still she meant well. Even now when she burned incense and lifted prayers to Apollo for Lydia's audition. Lydia knew she shouldn't have said anything.
Twenty minutes later she was braving the rain and the cold, wrapped up just as the weather lady said to be, and she was running perfectly on time. Right as the clock struck 12:50 she slipped inside the club where she began to unwrap her blue scarf from around her neck.
"Golly moses it's cold!"
