Who: Hermes, Hades, and Baron Samedi (and an unconscious Jordan)
What: Soul-cramming
Where: Jordan's hospital room
When: Wednesday, midday
Rating: PGish?
This had been a bad week for Hermes, but a worse one for his newest friend. Poor Jordan, aka Kurt, who's past caught up with him before Hermes had had a chance to sponge the man's records clean. Damn right the god was dealing with some guilt issues, which made the drive to fix Jordan's situation all that much more impossible to ignore. Unfortunately, even with the millions upon millions of 'followers' he had, he was useless when it came to actually repairing the fragile things that gave them all so much power.
But, being who he was, Hermes knew exactly who to go to, and where to find them.
First thing was first. He'd been around souls long enough to know when one wasn't occupying it's body; Jordan's life functions might still be going through a series of machines, but his life force was nowhere in that shell, and Hermes had no idea where it was. There were at least two among the awakened that he knew to summon who might, one of which was his gloriously broodful uncle, and keeper of the dead. He'd popped up in front of Hades first, and lured him into helping by promising to work extra hard on finding Persephone, who he could feel faintly in the vicinity. Second on the list was the crude southerner from that ass-backwards hodgepodge of pantheons, the good Baron Samendi himself.
Hermes waited beside Jordan's hospital bed, arms crossed over his chest, gnawing on the inside of his cheek with tension he didn't quite know what to do with. It wasn't logical, why he randomly attached himself to certain mortals; it's just what he had always done. Seemed like the trend was he always found the ones who were getting themselves into a ton of trouble.
Still, it didn't discourage him. It was hard to change eons of personality.
