Who: Oliver and Reed (Maybe Lydia later) What: Oliver rocks the protective best friend look. Where: Outside Lydia's apartment. When: Tuesday afternoon/evening.
It wasn't that Oliver didn't want this bloke Lydia was seeing to be a good guy. He really did. She deserved that much, at least, and for some reason it just didn't seem to be happening for her. But he was understandably worried. She was talking about a man who claimed he had a God or something living in him, and saying he could control fish. That wasn't normal, was it? And a little while ago she'd been telling Oliver that this bloke was as mad as a hatter. That hardly added up. Oliver was the kind who usually got on with almost everyone, and very rarely saw bad in people. But this... He didn't much like the sound of it.
He'd been round Lydia's this afternoon, having popped over straight from work. She'd seemed normal enough... Or as normal as Lyd ever did. But he'd had to leave before he found a way to broach the topic without sounding like a mad person - he had a few friends to meet for dinner - she he decided to bring it up properly when he next saw her. It was Lydia, after all. It wasn't as if he didn't talk to her all the time and wouldn't get another chance.
Oliver was just pushing open the door onto the street when he almost collided with someone stood on the doorstep. Oliver took a sharp step back. "Excuse me. Sorry."
