Who: Tobias and Tara [Psyche and Zeus] What: Talking while Tobias bartends at Nyx. Where: Nyx When: Tuesday after five.
The man that normally had a bright smile stretched from ear to ear looked somewhat somber that day. It couldn't have been the weather, it was too bright outside to be dreary despite the cooler temperature, and it wasn't the company either. All day the customers had been nothing if not sociable, funny, and charming. None of the women came onto him too strongly and all the men were fairly well spoken and kind unlike some crowds of them that came in looking to get trashed at lunch on the boss's bill.
It wasn't anything any normal mortal could possibly understand, really, and so Psyche kept her mouth set in a small, thin lipped expression and played it off that he was simply tired. This wasn't entirely untrue either. Dreams of her husband and the ages before this one on the other world had plagued her all night and kept Tobias waking up over and over again with a cold sweat and racing heart.
She was watching the clock, eager for six to come so she could get off work and try to catch up on sleep when her next customer took a seat. Psyche offered a small smile and set a napkin down on the bartop.
