Who: Ben/Cronus and Mari/Artemis When: Saturday, May 12, 2012 | night Where: outside the antiques shop What: retrieving Artemis' bow and arrows
It had been many years since Cronus first visited the antiques shop. He'd been pulled there by a force he didn't fully understand. Magic lured him inside. He felt a tug at his soul that was ancient, and it had led him to his sickle. The weapon that brought Aphrodite into the world. She was a goddess he considered both sister and daughter, though she really wasn't either. He adored her more than the two titles combined.
Cronus was different then. Different when Aphrodite sprang forth from the sea. Different from when he first walked into this shop. Vastly different from when he'd devoured his children. His long life had seen many changes. Now, here he was, helping his granddaughter locate her own belongings, and finding himself comforted by her presence. She was strong and lovely, and his heart swelled with pride.
When they were out of the shop, he smiled at her. "I'm sure you're eager to notch an arrow, but would you care to join me for a late dinner?"
