“A cat.. boutique?” He asked with an arch of his eyebrow before he shook his head and chuckled a bit. “Only in New York will you find a place like that.” Where else but in New York or Los Angeles would someone pamper their pets that much? “You getting good business out of it? I’m not even sure what goes into that, suddenly I have the image of a bunch of cats getting their nails done, and I know that just isn’t true.”
A grin returned before he nods his head. “Okay, I can get behind that. Thankfully I get enough from this job I was able to get an apartment I could also use as a studio.” He took another gulp from his water as he considered her again for a moment.
Steve just smiled at her before he gave another single nod. “If you want to talk, that’s half my job. Talking to the bartender is a cliché because it’s easy to do. And I’ve heard some wild tales at this bar like you wouldn’t believe. Sometimes the simple ones are the easiest to hear.”
He laughed at her last, a loud hearty sound before he shook his head. “Some things you just don’t get to back away from. You open a door, and you’re stuck going through. I’ve just always been the type that if I’m going to walk into something, might as well run in full force. Good or bad, I choose a course and I stick with it.”
