Definitely too tired to notice, and distracted too, because his insides were going nuts being so close to her. Why couldn't he have met a normal woman? Now he had more god soul drama to deal with. And, given how Neptune felt right now, Reed was terrified he'd end up sleeping with this one too.
He was going to pay for both their drinks, but Eve beat him to it. He gave a little smile and a, "Thanks," before heading outside with her.
There was a little area outside where nurses sometimes brought patients to let them get fresh air, and he found a bench to share with Eve. Reed took a seat and looked at her carefully, but tried not to seem creepy about it. He couldn't tell her why he thought she was familiar, because if her god soul wasn't fully awake, she'd think he was insane.
Do you know which one she is? he asked Neptune.
The god was oddly quiet though. He was far too focused on what he felt, and didn't say a word to Reed.
"Uh.. so.. they might release my brother tomorrow. So long as my parents cave.. I think I'll take him back to our current apartment and then start looking at a few places I found online. Did you have any thoughts about what you need in an apartment?" He tried to focus on the reason for their meeting, but it was hard, because he could sense everything Neptune did. She smelled amazing, not all that different from how people often described Reed. It was the smell of the ocean, and it was intoxicating.
