When she blushed he found it hard to resist teasing her even more, and then when she laid on that accent thicker (and no doubt she didn't realize she was) he found himself grinning like an idiot, crooked teeth and all.
"You'll give more than your mom a heart attack, trust me," he smirked. Mal eyed the other guy in the car with them. He looked vaguely homeless, or maybe he was just one of those hipsters who looked that way on purpose. Regardless the guy was staring at Rose and in a way that irked Mal. That was until Mal casually slid an arm around her shoulders and then the guy seemed to look away almost disappointed.
"Creepers," he muttered sorely. "Anyway, you'd get along with my best friend Sam. I mean, he's more straight and narrow than me anyway but still.. pretty rad I guess."
