"Ladies and gents," he interrupted what conversations were being had as they moved out of the booth. He stood, fished out some cash to pay their tabs and set it on the table. One more of her fries was taken as he scooted out.
"Me and Sandy are off like a dirty shirt, peace out," a collection of goodbyes were heard as he led the way for them to leave. He held the door for her and once they were outside he set his hands on his hips.
"So, cab? Subway? Walking? Piggy-back ride?" he turned and jerked a thumb at his back with a laugh.
