"You okay?" she asked, noticing the furrow in his brow. She'd picked up on a couple of things around him, like his headache that first time, when he'd just taken off.
"Oh. Oh, I hadn't really thought about it." she said, leaning in a little closer to talk to him. "I usually take the subway, but this late at night, it's a little sketchy. A cab'll probably work." She thought she had the cash for it, but it seemed to her every time she took one it cost far more than she remembered. "Why?"
